About What The Teff

"What The Teff?!" founder and 10 year overseas professional basketball player, Lamonte Thomas, was in the midst of his playing career in Spain in 2017. It was during this time he was introduced to the grain brown teff. He was informed of all the benefits that come from consuming this grain and began to eat it as a pre-game supplement. Lamonte went on to lead the league in assists per game and attributes plenty of his success to this "miracle grain". After that season he called his long time friend Jeff from college to turn this vision into a reality. Lamonte and Jeff both attended one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the USA, Johnson & Wales University.

As an athlete i've always been a firm believer of what you put into your body has a lot to do with how you perform. After learning about the grain Teff, i feel like it was my job to share this grain with the world. After becoming a true believer in the grains benefits and seeing it boost my energy level and endurance I added Teff to my daily diet. The creation of this bar happened so genuinely. A homemade granola bar made for myself and later shared with my teammates because i wanted them to have the same boost. I wanted to create a product that was healthy choice on the go. Our goal is to build awareness about our product through sports influencers, sporting events, teams, and connecting with our target market directly.
